THIS MARLIN MODEL 1892 WAS OUTFITTED WITH THE NEW STYLE EJECTOR THAT WAS HELD BY DOUBLE SPRINGS, THE MODEL NUMBER ON THE UPPER TANG WAS THE FIRST STYLE, MARKED 1892 OPPOSED TO 92‚‚. TOP OF RECEIVER MARKED \"MARLIN SAFETY\". THE RIFLE SHOWS TWO LARGE DINGS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE STOCK, ALMOST LOOKS INTENTIONAL. THE TOE IS CHIPPED AND SHOWS CRACKS, I AM UNABLE TO TELL IF THE CRACKS HAVE BEEN FIXED. WE ACTUALLY TEST FIRED IT WITH SHORTS AND IT WORKED PERFECT. I AM ALWAYS AMAZED OF THE QUALITY OF FIREARMS THAT WERE MANUFACTURED AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY. HOW CAN SOMETHING MADE 100 YEARS PRIOR TO BE SUCH SUPERIOR QUALITY
