Marlin 39AS Original Golden Deluxe 22lr. Still has the inspection sticker on the forend. It may never have been fired. The gold lettering on the barrel is bright and crisp. The Marlin Golden 39AS is one of the all-time classic American rimfire rifles, sought-after by both collectors and shooters alike. This model has been the top-of-the-line lever-action rimfire rifle for the Marlin firm for many decades, and the accuracy, reliability, and build quality have always been the very best. The "Micro-Groove" bore is mirror-bright and pristine, with perfect rifling. The factory smooth American Walnut stock set is in like-new condition as well, with both the forearm and buttstock free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or visible wear. All of the stock hardware is intact and pristine including the black pistol grip cap with a white spacer and the factory-installed Marlin-branded brown recoil pad. The action on this Original Golden 39AS is still tight but smooth, and the bolt and lever locks up into the battery perfectly. All of the controls on this Marlin are in like-new, perfect working order. As you can imagine, the internals in this rifle are just as pristine. This Marlin looks like it left the factory 2 days ago rather than 23 years ago.
