This is a fantastic example of a Mauser Broomhandle "Bolo" pistol, chambered in .30 Mauser, made immediately after WWI. The gun is all original and retains 98-99% of its beautiful, rich "rust blue" finish with minimal wear on the high points and on the back strap from stock insertion. It is an all matching gun, including all the internals, grips and the shoulder stock. Minty bore and grips. Vivid fire blue on the trigger, extractor, rear sight cursor, bolt stop and the safety. The stock is the actual Bolo stock that came with the gun. These were milled specifically for a smaller Bolo grip. The stock is in excellent original condition and has a couple of stable hairline cracks that are difficult to see. The gun is dimensionally smaller than the regular full size C96, with shorter barrel and a smaller grip frame. These were popular with Russian Bolsheviks during and after the 1917 revolution, which could account for its "Bolo" monicker. A vast majority went to China for use in various regional wars and were heavily used. As a result you see only one nice condition Bolo for every 50-100 full size guns. This one would be very difficult to upgrade.
The light spot on the left of the mag well in the last picture is just light reflection. There is no wear there. A superb commercial leather harness can be made available to the buyer at extra cost.
