Description:
For sale is an early pre-war, pre 64 Winchester Model 70 action complete with bottom metal. The action is the standard .473 bolt face. The receiver still retains a strong amount of blueing. There is thinning on the floorplate and some on the trigger bow, but would clean up when re-finished. The serial number is 55579 (1946) and matches bolt. The rear bridge has been drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The receive on the left side has also been drilled and tapped for a side-mount scope base at one time. See photos.
