Marlin Model 81 DL - Bolt Action - .22 LR Rifle - Smooth pistol grip walnut stock and semi beavertail forend with sling swivels and butt plate .Tubular magazine holds 24 Short , 20 Long and 18 LR ammo. Rear Peep sight with a hooded front bead sight. Wgt. 6.25 lbs. Bore is clean and bright. Barrel and receiver are retaining approx. 85% bluing. Barrel had several minor rust spot which were removed and re- blued. Bolt action is tight. Appears stock may have received a coat of clear varnish in the past which has held up exceptionally well. Stock and forend have minimal handling marks for a rifle of this age. The Marlin model 81 DL with Peep option was manufactured from 1940 to 1965. Nice addition to any collection.
