Description:
For your consideration we have a Colt Police Poaitive 6 shot double action revolver in caliber .38 Colt New Police (.38 S&W).The revovler was manufactured in 1917. It has a 4" barrel Overall I put this gun at 70-75% (average to good). Gun retains 85% of its nickel plating (per Turnbull restorations). The nickel plating is scuffed on the left side of the barrel near the front site, on the right side of the frame near the grip, and some on the cylinder (see pictures). This was likely holster wear. The grips are the correct hard rubber and are not cracked, chipped, split or warped. The action is smooth and flawless in both double and single action. The cylinder release works smoothly as well as the cylinder crane when swinging the cylinder out of the frame, The bore I would rate very good with crisp rifling and no pitting. This guns Serial # is 83414 and it is matching on the receiver and the crane. All identification markings are clear and visible (Please see pictures). Overall a nice Colt revolver in nice shape from over 100 years ago. Please contact me for any additional information or pictures.
