Smith & Wesson New Model 3 Revolver .44 Russian! SN# 7646, Early 1878-1885 model (ANTIQUE).

Smith & Wesson produced the Model 3, in three distinct models, The first was the 1st Model Russian (the original order design), with the Russian Ordnance Inspector mandating a number of improvements to the design, resulting in the 2nd Model Russian, with a final revision to the Russian design being known as the 3rd Model Russian.

Very early model comes with WELL WORN leather holster. Trigger and Hammer were originally case colored. The gun has been RESTORED by SHOOTER'S EXCHANGE with the Blued Metal Refinished and new checkered Walnut Grips added. A HARD TO FIND REVOLVER IN GREAT SHAPE.
