Winchester 94AE adams county Pennsylvanian commemerative. This is the proof of the set of 10 (11 total made including the proof). The proof is the one that is first made to go before the board for approval. The right side of the rifle has wood inscribed “four score and seven years ago” with president Abraham Lincoln’s portrait. The forend is inscribed “Pennsylvania”. The receiver is inscribed “Adams county Pennsylvania” and “susquehannock Indians” with a teepee and three native Americans riding horses. There is also a train engraved into the reciever. The left side of the rifle’s wood is inscribed “Adams county” in the forend, and “Dwight D. Eisenhower” with Eisenhower’s portriot. There is also a cannon and the shape of adams county engraved into the stock. The reciever is engraved “adams county, battle of Gettysburg” with a scene from the battle of Gettysburg. The lever is partially scroll engraved. The top of the barrel also has some scroll engraving. The holt and hammer are jeweled. The barrel, barrel bands, magazine tube, and lever are gold plated.
