Description:
This is an early Beretta Model 92 (sn# 12762) with a frame mounted safety and the magazine release on the heal. Not this unusual Model 92 has no roll stamps on the right side, no Italian proof stamps and is not stamped, "Made in Italy". In the mid 1970s Brazil contracted with Beretta to manufactured Model 92s for their military. Beretta setup a manufacturing facility in San Paulo, Brazil to make those pistols. When the contract was completed in 1980 Beretta sold the sold the factory, tooling and machinery to Taurus. This is a fine example of one of these early hard to find Beretta 92 pistols. 9mm Parabellum
