1917 Colt 1911 U.S. Army, .45 ACP. SN# 150522
The frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left side and has the inspector proof mark with the initials GHS (Gilbert H. Stewart, Col.) behind the trigger. The right side of the slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY"
The gun is in great condition for its age, The grips are in good condition (not original grips) and the metal finish shows some wear. Barrel and slide are from a later gun but NOT from a 1911A1, bore is excellent! Slide stop is a WWII-era serrated stop.
