CIVIL WAR BRITISH TOWER ENFIELD PATTERN 1853 .577 CAL. RIFLE MUSKET. All original and complete including ramrod. Lock plate dated 1862 and stamped “TOWER” with the Victoria Crown. Possible Confederate used with number “89” stamped on tang of butt plate. 40” barrel with export proofs at left breech. Original long range rear sight. Very good overall with dark grey original patina. Stock with nice handling wear and small old wood patch on side panel done during the period of use. Working order and very good bore. Nice original example at a reasonable price.
