Description:
This is an extremely well built vintage leather scabbard with the name Lyon Boston on the upper part of open end. This scabbard has the traditional hanging system with an over-all length of 35" with a 7" throat opening, deep brown patina to the well preserved leather. All stitching is present and tight and the hardware is intact with a slight accumulation of verdigris. Large brass drain hole at bottom rounds out an excellent designed and built horse rifle scabbard. This scabbard was used for a bolt action rifle with out a scope. Still many years of service in this scabbard.
