This is a 1946-dated rifle that has 99% of the original matte blue finish remaining, with only some mild silvering at the muzzle, along the bearing surfaces of the matching numbered bolt, and on some of the projecting edges and surfaces. The rifle is marked "NO 7 .22 IN. Mk I / LONG BRANCH / 1946" on the left side of the receiver while the special "22" marked "magazine" houses a specialized single shot loading tray inside. The No. 7 rear aperture sight is graduated for 20 and 100 yards. The walnut stock, forend, and handguard are in excellent original condition, with some minor handling marks and small blemishes scattered about. The rifle is equipped with a rare original, "BCM 1942" canvas military sling, and is housed in an original wooden transit case with correct cleaning rod. These No. 7's are very well-made rifles that were finished to a higher degree than most other rimfire trainers, and this example is in virtually unissued condition. ** The sling has hardened and is impossible to remove, therefore the gun will not rest as it should in the transit case. They will be shipped separately. FFL or C&R SOLD Manufacturer: Enfield Model: No.7 Caliber Info: .22 Gauge Info: .22 |
