Description:
Serial #D989878, .38 Special, 2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a ca. 1968-made, round-butt revolver that has retained 98-99% of the original blue finish on the barrel and cylinder, with a commensurate amount of original black anodizing on the alloy frame. The hammer and trigger have most of their original color case-hardening remaining and the checkered wooden grips are in very good-near fine shape with some flattening of the points on both panels, as well as some light handling marks and a small chip at the top of the right panel. The lock-up is good, and the action is fully functional. The revolver is housed in the original, numbered, two-piece blue Bangor Punta box with papers, instruction sheet, and warranty card. This is a fine plus example of a late ‘60s K-Frame S&W, and would make a nice addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
