Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. This is a very nice example of a Colt AR-15. The AR-15A4 Model is one of the more sought-after Colt AR-15s. The reason is that it is nearly identical to the M16A4 as originally issued to the U.S. Military starting in July of 1997. It was in production from 2013 to 2019. It was designed to be similar in appearance to the original M16A4 with detachable carry handle/rear sight. It uses the standard A2 furniture with respect to the handguard, stock, and pistol grip. The A2 front sight of course has the integral bayonet lug. The appearance of the handguard may seem unfamiliar to some as most pictures of the M16A4 online show the rifle after having been refitted with a quad rail. This was the Knights Armament Company M5 Rifle RAS Forend Assembly. The 20” Gov’t-profile barrel is made of 4150 CMV steel and uses a 1:7” twist for stabilizing bullets from 55gr up to 77gr in weight. The bore is also chrome-lined which protects the bore from corrosion over long periods without cleaning, should this become necessary. The outside of the barrel is protected by a manganese-phosphate coating. The upper and lower receivers are made of 7075-T6 aluminum and have the industry standard Type III Hard Coat Anodized finish. The upper features a picatinny rail and sports a detachable A2-style rear sight – just as on the real A4. The safety lever is fully ambidextrous. Overall length is 39.5 inches. The accuracy of the Colt-made AR-15 rifle is well noted. With good ammo these rifles are known to be capable of making shots close to 1 MOA at 100 yards or more, provided the shooter does their part. Despite it being four years after the model was discontinued, this rifle is genuinely brand new in the box. It arrived at our store directly from a wholesaler and has never been sold or owned by an individual. The rifle comes with the factory box, manual, and one 30-round Magpul PMAG.
