A rare opportunity for the American gun collector. THIS GUN WAS MADE FOR THE FOUNDER OF THE COMPANY, CHARLES W. ALLEN,
and obviously served as a prototype for ejector guns which were to be invented and made in the future (see photo of the forend).
This gun did not see much if any shooting, but was apparently handled a lot as a prototype. See original CC on standing breech and elsewhere.
See the photos for the engraved monogram "CWA" on the floor-plate, and No. 1 stamped on the water table, forend iron, and barrel flats.
