This is a rare 12 gauge box lock ejector gun made by James Woodward & Sons, a London maker of fine English sporting arms...The 28" replacement barrels are choked mod and mod. Chambers have been lengthened to 2 3/4". Excellent bores...Length of pull is 14 1/4:.. Drops are 1 3/4 and 2 1/2...weighs just 6 1/4 pounds...Excelent overall condition...Appears to have been refurbished when reproofed in 1979...Housed in peiod case...Ship to ffl or c&r...
Note, this is number one of a pair...It would be fun to go on a quest for number two...The place to start, would be at Purdey's, who bought out Woodward in the late forties, and kept the records of production and repair of their fine guns...
