With REDFIELD Rear Sight and FALSE MUZZLE
Here we present an antique E. Anschutz Percussion Target Rifle, made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania circa 1870. This rifle has been fitted with a circa 1980s K.R. Bresien Barrel from Warsaw, New York, and it comes with two boxes of .405 caliber cast lead bullets made specifically for this gun.
This example measures .41 at the muzzle and has the original false muzzle that came with the barrel. The lock is marked E. Anschutz Philadelphia. The K.R. Bresien octagon barrel is 32 inches in length. The stock has nice checkering.
The overall condition is very good. Original finish on the barrel. The action is excellent. The bore is excellent, bright with sharp rifling. The stock has thin, stable split ahead of the lock on the right side, as well as a long, thin crack running diagonally on the left stock flat. Otherwise the stock is solid. Sight blocks installed on the barrel.
