For your consideration, a Union Switch & Signal M1911A1 chambered in .45 Auto. This piece consists of a US&S frame and a Colt slide. The slide shows the two-tone coloration of mid-war spot hardening treatment at muzzle and slide stop notch areas. The frame bears the encircled R.C.D. stamp of Union Switch & Signal inspector, Lt. Col. R.C. Downie and dates to 1943. .45 Auto
