Revolver retains 98% of its handsome lustrous blue finish with silvering along exposed edges, Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling visible. Serial numbers are matching on the frame and barrel. the cylinder is marked ""171"" which is only 2 away from the serial numbers, it is likely it left the factory this way as the finish is identical to the rest of the gun. Case is made of English Oak with six compartments housing cleaning rod, oiler, screwdriver, key and lanyard. Milner states this Webley was bought by Major Scholfield R.E. on August 31, 1908. Records show service in the Boer War, took part in the relief of Ladysmith including operations on Tugula Heights.
