Got a Eddystone M1917 Enfield Rifle Cal. 30-06 Bolt Action Rifle Manufacture Date July 1918 for sale.
Description
SERIAL NUMBER: 77335X DESIGN: Bolt action rifle with a 6-round integral magazine. Top of barrel is stamped with a "W" and flaming bomb ordnance mark below (For Winchester MFG). Barrel is dated December1917. The year of manufacture for serial number 77335X is 1918.
The last serial number of the firearm/receiver is covered. The build date was researched from an online list of Eddystone 1917 Rifles. There are or we did not see any cartouche on the stock. There are "E's" and flaming bombs on the rifle as you can see if you look close at the pictures. There is an R on the front sight blade and also a .075 on the sight next to the blade. This is the best information we have on this piece.
We tried to get pictures of every maker's mark, logo, stamp, cartouche and whatever we could find. Look closely at the pictures as what you see is what you get.
This came from the estate of an FFL/SOT Gun Smith, Gun Store that is out of business. The estate was an avid collector of Garands and components. This is from the collection or was inventory. There will be countless other listings from this inventory over the next 4 to 5 years. We are selling for the estate/store. This is NOT a liquidation. There are no lists and will be no lists.
