Runge Signed Master Factory Engraved and Gold Inlaid Remington Model 1100SF Premier Grade Semi-Automatic Shotgun in 12 Gauge Manufactured in 1973, this Premier Grade Model 1100SF 12 gauge shotgun was built by the Remington Shop and engraved by noted engraver Robert P. Runge. The shotgun is fitted with a set of white and nickel bead sights on the barrel rib, with 7 3/8 inch wedges of scroll and punch dot engraving on either side of the chamber enclosing the traditional markings, with the chamber marked for 2 3/4 inch shells. The receiver shows near full coverage scroll and punch dot engraving, with the serial number and "REMINGTON MODEL 1100 SF" in banners on the left, "RPR 73" concealed under a dogs paw on the central field scene on the left, and a pair of golden game birds flanking a pair of hunting dogs on the right side, and golden water fowl flanking a pair of hunting dogs on the left side  Superb extra-fancy walnut stock, with a checkered beavertail forearm and pistol grip, a Pachmayr Whiteline vent recoil pad, a blank golden circular panel on the underside and a length of pull of 14 1/8 inches. Condition: Near new, with some very minor handling marks on the butt stock. Finish is deep blue no signs of wear. Metal overall nearly like new, one small spot on barrell. The wood shows excellent grain and color throughout, with especially dense and attractive feathering.
