Description:
22 inch round barrel chambered in 45-70 caliber with a good shiny bore. Barrel is a light brown patina with several light spots of pitting which appears to be from poor storage. Hooded front sight and ladder rear. Frame and trapdoor as well as hammer have touch up blue applied. Saddle ring and bar. Grooved trigger. Wood is rather dark and has numerous bruises dings and mars but no apparent cracks. A good shootable example of a Springfield Trapdoor. 227k serial range gun.
