Rare Factory Engraved Colt SAA. Nimscke engraved. Shipped to Charles Hummel in Texas. A lot of the Texas Ranger guns went through his shop.
This ole girl was in law enforcement and probably Texas Ranger service. Need Hummels records. She certainly was in more than a few scrapes. BWasn't sitting in someone's desk drawer.
Texas Rangers were the best in law enforcement. Uncompromising in their values and ethics. Not politically correct, they fought against the most evil of human nature. And did what was needed to quell it.
This is Nimscke engraved and probably his last one or very near. Anyway. To make a long story longer.
It appears to have been refinished in about 1910 and then rode another 20-30 years on a Rangers hip. It has the look of Old West history all over it. If it could talk it would probably make a few ladies blush and a few outlaws squirm.
