Description:
.45-90 (possibly .45-100), #49468, 30 inch barrel, blue and case color finish, walnut stock, original sights, number on barrel does not match receiver number, circa 1870's.
These rifles were produced by 3 or 4 entities using surplus trapdoor parts, I believe this is one of the later ones produced.  Some of the parts are later than the usual 1st model parts and the barrel is heavier and of larger caliber than earlier examples.
Condition: very good heavy rifling, meal is mostly plum, block has fading/silvering case colors, stock has a couple of slivers missing and has plenty of use dings, mechanically excellent, excellent marks.
