Description:
Many rifles were recovered from combat and damaged beyond rehab as military guns. They were shipped back to BSA in England and rehabbed into trainer (cadet) rifles. They replaced the barrels with .22 cal, gutted the magazine, and created a bolt action .22 for training use, that duplicated the SMLE's these cadets would see in the military. The magazine has no functions other than to fill the magazine well, and to collect the spent cartridge casings as the cadets learned how to shoot. The features include military sights, hardwood stocks, bayonet lugs, and good surplus condition. .22 Long Rifle
