Description:
Scherping of Hannover 16 gauge / 43 Mauser combination gun. Fully functional gun with ammo. Original case with Scherping trade label (faded but clearly readable) and cleaning tools as shown. Canvas case is solid. Barrels are 27" with good bores. As typical for guns of this age there is some bore corrosion. Shotgun barrel is bright. Rifle barrel has strong lands and grooves. Shotgun chamber measures 2 5/8". The rifle barrel is fluid steel while the shotgun barrel is damascus. The color of the barrels has turned to a pleasing plum tone. Shotgun shells shown in the case are 2 1/2". The shotgun barrel has what appears to be a light full choke with 23/1000 constriction. Rifle cartridges are included as shown. Stock is solid with no cracks. Gun is tight on face. No loose ribs. Rear sight is fixed while the front sight is a blade. Lop is 14" Shipping is $85.
