THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL LISTING for this rifle but after selling it and shipping it to the buyer, UPS BROKE IT IN HALF at the wrist (see photos). It was a clean break and there are no pieces missing so a good stock man could put it back together (or even re-stock the rifle). It would be well worth it. XXXX A mint condition Colt - Sauer Sporting Rifle in .30-06 caliber and with a period Redfield 3-9x42mm Scope in proper mounts. This is the nicest Colt Sauer we have ever had the opportunity to offer, with absolutely superb highly figured walnut, perfect bore and chamber, etc. and all in absolutely mint condition overall. Colt contracted with J.P. Sauer to have these rifles manufactured and they were available some 40 years ago. We have owned many but this is probably the best one, XXXXX Due to the break at the wrist we are selling it now AS IS for 1/2 price. The first group of photos show how it used to look prior to ups - the last grouping show its condition currently. The only damage is to the stock.
