Description:
High grade hand engraved shotgun of the type made for promotion at Trade Shows and sold at the Pedersoli Gallery in Italy. 12 gauge proofed for 89 grains of black powder and 1-1/4 ozs of shot. 28" barrels with fixed IC & Mod chokes have finely browned finish. Top of rib has gold inlaid marking "D.Pedersoli & C." Bright finished locks & hammers have generous coverage of vine type foliate scroll hand engraving with chain link borders. Pineapple finial trigger plate, trigger guard, thimble & steel shotgun buttplate have complementory engraving. Engravers signature "R. Sanzogline" is found along right edge of the trigger plate. Wedge fastened straight grip stock of fancy walnut has hand checkering at wrist. LOP 14-1/4". DAC 1-5/16". DAH 2-5/8". Weight, 7 lbs., 9.4 ozs. Appears unfired retaining nearly all original finish. Stock shows some handling mostly on th left side. Lft side of bbls. show have 2 light scratches. Crisp mechanics. Excellent bright bores.
