"U.S. Springfield Model 1816 flintlock musket. Metal has a dark brown patina, does show areas of surface pitting. Lock is dated 1824, as well as the barrel. Stock is good and shows two faint cartouches. Stock does have a ding at bottom right under the lockplate. Good looking 1816!
