Tail of lock marked Ketland & Co. Bore is approximately .80 caliber. Action works perfectly. Pistol conforms to figure 49 in Robert Brookers book British Military Pistols 1603-1888. Barrel has 98% of a military blue finish and was applied later. Stock is solid, no chips or cracks. Grip is checkered wood. The Ketland & Co. mark on the tail of the lock leads us to think this may be an East India Company pistol. Overall condition is very good. This is a stout manly pistol! SOLD Antique: Yes |
