I. Hollis and Sons London .577/.450 centerfire Martini sporting rifle. Isaac Hollis and Sons operated in London from 1861 to the 1890’s. The overall length is approximately 44". The 28" round barrel has a fine bright bore with strong rifling. All the metal has a mottled brown patina. The barrel has a filled dovetail where a sling swivel was. The butt stock is very good with scattered storage and use dents. It has a nicely checkered wrist, sling swivel eye, and a blank German silver escutcheon on the bottom. The checkered forend has a horn tip and scattered storage and use dents. The action functions correctly. This is a good example of a British Martini sporting rifle.
