HIGH CONDITION No. 4 ROLLING BLOCK OCTAGON TAKEDOWN RIFLE IN .22 SHORT & LONG CALIBER. Considered "Boys' Rifles" and usually found in well used and often abused condition, this one is exceptiona. It retains most of the vivid case colors on the receiver with only silvering on the very bottom of the trigger guard bow and thinning/dulling on the upper tang- the balance reveals very fine and rich color. The stock and forearm are excellent. The barrel blue is deep and shows some light age only and has the original buckhorn rear sight with small blade front sight. Tight action, tight takedown, exc. markings. the bore is fairly bright with fine rifling and some light corrosion. A really fine example in a condition that is hard to obtain.
