"Serial number 62843. Made in 1856. 36 caliber with a 7 ½" barrel. Metal has an even brown patina throughout. Gun is all matching. This gun has had most of the patent dates and the “U. S." removed. This gun is in a classic range for US martial guns and you can see a faint cartouche on the grips and small inspectors marks throughout.
