Description:
Absolutely a dynamite 20ga gun built by Woodward most likely for American Maker, R.G. Owen or Saquoit, NY. Gun made with 27" and 28" original barrels each with its own original splinter forend. The gun is fantastically rose and scroll engraved with numerous bouquets as seen in the photos. Arcaded fences and large wedges of scroll on the barrel tubes. The gun was built with original single trigger which is included in the case and now has a gold plated Miller trigger. Auto ejectors, and auto safety. The stock is a gorgeous piece of English Walnut with great color and figure. The pad is an aging red pad. Housed in its original full leather and brass appointed case with accessories as seen in the photos.
Overall, the gun remains in excellent original condition. Barrels with more than 97% original blue. Frame with more than 90% of its original case color. Stocks are excellent and sound with nearly all of their hand rubbed finish remaining. Case is excellent with rubs and minor staining.
This fantastic small bore is priced at $27,950 plus shipping to your FFL. It is an absolute stone cold bargain at that price given that the gun is on par or better than anything else from London fo the time period would would cost more than 2x this gun in today's market.
