Description:
Confederate marked, Civil War carbine, in percussion. A light weight calvary model most likely. Has a wooden ram rod, and is in good shape for a war rifle. The Confederate "CS" is stamped into the wood like a cartushe. Assuming no one has faked the marking, it is genuine..... Approximately 40% of all Civil War weapons were Confederate, I could never understand the faking of such guns, but it is priced and sold as either North or South. It is a very solid gun including the barrel, but I would not recommend shooting an antique of this age without consorting with a good gunsmith. $795.00 plus 45.00 shipping.
