FN 49 Venezuelan Contract Excellent near Mint condition 7mm Mauser caliber, Super Nice FN 49 in the best caliber they made. Designed began in the pre War period but was not finished as FN did n't want the Germans to have it. This rilfe was sold to several countries in the 50's and made in at leaset 4 calibers, 7 & 8MM Mauser, 7.65x53MM and 30-06. The Venezuelans choose 7mm in keeping with their older Mauser Bolt Action Arsenal. In doing so they choose the best shooting of all the FN49 rifles! This rifle is the best one I've ever seen with very minor storage markings on the stock and a mint bore. Very nice, clear Ven crest on the stock and final cartouche on the wrist of the rifle stock.
