Notable markings include an eagle head over "E12" Springfield inspection mark and the EEC cipher of Maj. E.E. Chapman, inspect of 1911 pistols at Rem-UMC 1918-1919. The magazine is of the period correct 2-tone lanyard loop variety. .45 ACP
