Here we have a simple but elegant little Winchester Model 1904 bolt action single shot rifle chambered in .22 extra long caliber (which is not .22 long rifle....this rifle can shoot .22 short, .22 long and .22 extra long). The front sight is a dovetailed blade and the rear sight is elevation adjustable. The barrel has the standard markings and there is a "W/P" proofmark over the chamber area. Mounted on a smooth gumwood straight grip stock with a Schnabel forearm. This particular example is in good overall condition with some high edge wear and small areas of finish loss. The stock has earned some character marks over time but nothing major. Cocking the rifle is done by pulling the knob at the back of the bolt. This interesting little Winchester rifle would make a great addition to an existing collection or a strong start to a new collection.
