This is a great example of an H&K Model SL7 semi-auto rifle, chambered in .308 Winchester. The Heckler & Koch SL7 is a roller-delayed blowback-operated sporting carbine made by Heckler & Koch from the 1980s to 1991. It was chambered in .308 Winchester and designed and marketed throughout the world as a hunting/utility rifle. The SL7 was the last of the sporter variation H&K rifles to be imported with importation halting in 1986. The SL7 has become popular with Heckler & Koch collectors and is seldom seen for sale. This rifle features an 18" barrel, roller-delayed blowback action, matte black finish, 3 round detachable magazine, smooth walnut stock, and adjustable rear sight. This particular SL7 is in great overall condition and has been lightly fired. This rifle retains 98% of its original matte finish with the only deductions being a handful of scattered handling marks along the receiver and light wear from a scope being mounted. The bore of the 18" barrel is mirror-bright with sharp rifling and shows no signs of pitting or corrosion. The smooth walnut stock is in great overall condition and is free from any signs of cracks, chips, or repairs. The stock does show very light handling marks on the buttplate, sling swivels, and a scattered amount of light surface dings in the wood. All the factory markings are in excellent condition and the rear drum sight functions flawlessly. All the controls function 100% and the action is tight.
