Description:
Civil War Reunion GAR Dress Sword. This sword is from the veteran's organization of Union veterans of the Civil War known as the G.A.R. or Grand Army of the Republic. 30-1/2 inch blade. The handguard has the clam shell design with the proud "GAR" lettering with anchor on one side and the crossed rifles on the other side. The sword is solid with some slight loss to the leather on the handle. Blade is rusty & all the brass needs cleaning. Sword would have been made about 1875. Shipping $15
