Listing a ever popular 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser model 1896 that I had the barrel shortened to 23" and a custom Bishop stock, no drill scope mount , attached in rear sight screw hole. Buelher saftey added. This was a yard sale rifle I'd picked up and always admired how these Swede's shot. All numbers match , sn 326431, 431 is on bolt, reciever, and floor plate.whistle all you want about the 6.5 Creedmore, these New bee's they just copied a caliber that's been popular in Europe since 1891. Has a 1-7.87 twist in barrel which allowed these rifles to be shot at ranges of 1,000 yds and beyond. Terrific knock down power from a 140 grain bullet. Sports a Barska 3x9 reduced ridicule cross hair. What can I say a fine hunting or target rifle.
