Description:
Very scarce and desirable PRE-BAN Israeli made GALIL ARM semi-automatic rifle in minty condition. Manufactured by Israeli Military Industries (I.M.I.), this a Model 332 and was one of the Galil imports brought in by Action Arms Limited. It is chambered in .308 Winchester and features a 20" barrel with M-16 style flash hider. The Galil is a modified and improved version of the famous Kalashnikov (AK47) design, in particular the Finnish Valmet. It was specifically manufactured to fire the .223 cartridge or .308 Winchester and to function flawlessly in the arid (and sandy) desert environment of the Middle East. The Galil was selected as the weapon of choice by the Israeli Defense Forces, beating out the M16A1, AK47, and HK33 among others. Other features include a milled receiver, wood handguard, folding carry handle, integral bipod, AK style safety w/ additional left-side thumb safety, and heavy duty side-folding stock. This weapon is in excellent overall condition and shows only a few very minor handling and storage marks. The gun appears to be UNFIRED. The mechanics are in perfect working order and the bore is likewise excellent. It comes with (1) 25 round magazine. The Galil was imported in rather small numbers and it is estimated that only 7000-9000 semi-auto Galils made into the United States before being banned. The .223 version of the Galil made up the majority of rifles imported. Very few .308 models were imported making this a very rare bird! Pre Ban Assault rifles in high condition continue to be an excellent investment for the future.
