Description:
Smith & Wesson 10-8 pistol in new and unfired condition. The pistol is a commemorative for the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department from 1986. The Frame is in as new condition with traditional Smith & Wesson trade mark stamping on the left side of the frame, MPDC 45 is rollmarked under the cylinder on the left side and gold wash applied to lettering, right side of receiver has a metropolitan police shield with an image of the White House and a banner stating 125th anniversary, D.C. underneath, gold wash filled. All of the screws are perfect, all case color remains on the trigger and hammer. The barrel is 4" with a full length raised rib and a banner on the right side that states "Metropolitan Police Department 1861-1986" gold washed, Bore is new and unfired. The grips are walnut, smooth with Smith & Wesson logos in silver shields, all finish and edges are unmarred. The pistol is housed in a factory wood box with blue felt lining and a plaque on the outside that states "Washington Metropolitan Police Department, Washington DC 1861-1986" And inside the box is a full size police shield that has a relief picture of the White House and Metropolitan Police 1861 1986 in gold and a blue banner that reads "125th Anniversary DC" 0AVW55331 MSSSDP $1050.00
