Description:
This is very rare prototype Colt rifle manufactured in 1998 by Dumoulin of Herstal in Belgium, on behalf of Colt. This gun is chambered in .270 Winchester and features a 24" blued barrel with standard Belgian proofs and "COLT'S MANUFACTURING COMPANY, INC" on the top. The Mauser 98 type action displays scroll engraving on the left and right side of the receiver with matting on top of the bridges. The trigger guard is engraved with fine scroll work and the floor plate is engraved with a Ram. The stock is a checkered pistol grip stock with sling studs, ebony grip cap inlaid with a Colt medallion with a red rubber Old English Pachmayr recoil pad. Wood and metal finish is excellent.
