Serial #S331159, .41 Magnum, 4 inch pinned heavy barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Model 58 Military & Police revolver introduced in 1964 on a square butt, N service frame with 3 screws to provide a large bore, hard hitting magnum with manageable recoil. This example has had a custom refurbish and will turn heads at the range. In excellent condition the metal surfaces have been professionally refurbished and retain about 99% applied matte black finish and satin battleship gray finishes, likely “Black T" or a similar applied coating, showing a very small scratch on the triggerguard and slight drag line on the cylinder. The service trigger retains full hard chrome finish, and the service hammer retains full later applied black finish showing light operational wear. The rubber presentation Pachmayr grips rate excellent. This model is equipped with fixed sights, correctly times and locks up, and has a nice smooth action. Like the Model 10 the Model 58 is a simple rugged gun that is great for home defense with intermediate loads or for bear country with full power loads. FFL or C&R
