This is a handsome revolver that matching serial and assembly numbers (2535) throughout, including the grip panels, and retains 92-95% of the original bright, lustrous blue finish with scattered minor handling marks and silvered fading along the "church steeple" cylinder, raised edges, and projections. Some mild freckling is also present on the sides of the frame towards the rear, and along the gripframe. The topstrap has Webley "'WG' MODEL 1892" marking with the Webley & Scott "Winged Bullet" on the lower left side of the frame, and a "WATSON BROs. 4 PALL MALL, LONDON" retailer marking on the barrel rib. The hammer, trigger, and cylinder retention stirrup have some traces of mild freckling on the bright metal while the thumb lever has most of the original blue remaining. The smooth walnut grips are in very good shape with numerous minor bruises and handling marks on either panel. The lock-up is still solid and tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a lovely example of a desirable WG Target Model, and has an exceptionally high amount of the original finish remaining. It rates excellent overall, and would be a great addition to any collection of fine British firearms.
