Antique Civil War Remington 1861 Old Model Army 44 caliber conversion revolver. Matching number gun that was manufactured in 1862. Only 6000 produced for U.S. government all bearing military markings and cartouche. One year issue only makes this historical piece very rare. Gun is in good overall condition including the bore. 8" barrel with correct address and patent date. Some Original blue still present on barrel and frame. Walnut grips are in good condition with legible cartouche on left grip. Numerous military markings throughout the entire gun. Action functions fine with occasional timing issue. Overall nice Civil War piece that was converted to cartridge after the Civil War and was usually in a 44 rimfire or a 46 rimfire caliber. Older Colt trades considered. All Civil War firearms should be checked out by a gunsmith prior to use. $50.00 insured shipping to your door.
