Description:
For your consideration is the venerable M1 garand. As the primary rifle used by U.S. forces during the second world war, the M1 quickly gained a reputation for being reliable, easy to operate and provided superior firepower over a bolt action rifle which was at that point in time the standard rifle for most other militaries. The M1 then went on to serve in various Cold War conflicts such as the Korean War and Vietnam. This particular model features a receiver that dates it to January 1945, the rifle has been rearsenaled at some point as well featuring a Winchester barrel produced in July 1967. .30-06 Springfield
