A Very Early & Scarce Civil War Colt Percussion Model 1848 Baby Dragoon Revolver With A 6 Inch Barrel In Fine Plus Condition. Serial #7,070 with all matching numbers except for the wedge which is an original factory replacement and is #972. Made in 1848, all original and complete. The revolver has fine metal, markings, and edges. It has a fine and clear cylinder scene and clear "Colt's Patent" markings on both the frame and cylinder. The cylinder has a very tiny rough spot in one spot. The barrel on the gun has a fine plum patina which is mixing with original factory blue running through it. The cylinder has an even natural patina on it and the frame shows darkened case colors. The backstrap and trigger guard retain most of their factory silver on them. All screws are fine. The original grips are excellent throughout with a very fine grain to them. The revolver has an excellent action and bore. This Is A Very Fine Example Of A Scarce Colt Percussion Model 1848 Baby Dragoon With A Six Inch Barrel. Colt Baby Dragoons In This Condition Are Very Hard To Come By!
